SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS FROM MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA 2 - 5 - 12
Today, we have no time to look at eachother, to talk to each other, to enjoy each other. . . And so less and less we are in touch with each other. The world is lost for want of sweetness and kindness. People are starving for love because everyone is in such a great rush. (Source: Love: A Fruit Always in Season” edited by Dorothy Hunt)
PRO-LIFE THOUGHTS FROM POPE BENEDICT XVI - 2 - 5 - 12
The Church’s witness ... is of its nature public: she seeks to convince by
proposing rational arguments in the public square. The legitimate separation of
Church and State cannot be taken to mean that the Church must be silent on
certain issues, nor that the State may choose not to engage, or be engaged by,
the voices of committed believers in determining the values which will shape
the future of the nation.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS FROM MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA - 1 - 29 - 12
When I see how the poor remain neglected and unrecognized all around us, I understand the sadness of Christ at not being accepted by his own. Today those who ignore or reject the poor, Ignore or reject Christ. The poor do us the honor to serve them. (Source: Love: A Fruit Always in Season” edited by Dorothy Hunt)
PRO-LIFE THOUGHTS FROM PRIESTS FOR LIFE - 1 - 29 -12
“Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception.
From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as
having the rights of a person -- among which is the inviolable right of every
innocent being to life. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before
you were born I consecrated you” (Jer 1:5; cf Job 10:8-12; Ps 22:10-11). “My
frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately
wrought in the depths of the earth” (Ps. 139:15). Since the first century the Church
has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not
changed and remains unchangeable.” -- Catechism of the Catholic Church, n.
2270-2271
SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS FROM MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA - 1 - 22 - 12
All we do - our prayer, our work, oursuffering – is for Jesus. Our life has no other reason or motivation. This is a point many people do not understand. I serve Jesus twenty – four hours a day. Whatever I do is for Him. And He gives me strength. (Source: Love: A Fruit Always in Season” edited by Dorothy Hunt)
PRO-LIFE THOUGHTS FROM HOLLYWOOD - 1 - 22 - 12
Indeed the tragedy of abortion haunts women from all walks of life. Abortion advocates are spending millions to package their tired rhetoric and half-truths in cutting-edge advertising campaigns targeted to young women... The early feminists were pro-life. And really, abortion is a huge disservice to women, and it hasn't been presented that way." -- Emmy winning actress, Patricia Heaton, from Everybody Loves Raymond
PRO - LIFE THOUGHTS FROM ARCHBISHOP TIMOTHY DOALN - 1 - 8 - 12
[Abortion] is not a church
issue. [The fight to end abortion]is a civil rights issue, the premier civil rights issue of our day! All we are asking is that the equal protection of the law promised by our beloved Constitution be applied to the pre-born baby. All we're
promoting is the noble right to life assured in our nation's foundational documents, which list the right to life first among those inalienable rights no one has the power to take away.
Through Christ we see in a mirror the spotless and excellent face of God. (Source: “The wisdom of the Saints by Jill Haak Adels)
PRO - LIFE THOUGHTS FROM POPE JOHN PAUL II - 1 - 15 - 12
Life is always a good. … Why is life a good? This question is found everywhere in the Bible and from the very first pages it receives a powerful and amazing answer. The life which God gives man is quite different from the life of all other living creatures, inasmuch as man, although formed from the dust of the earth (cf. Gen 2:7, 3:19; Job 34:15; Ps 103:14; 104:29), is a manifestation of God in the world, a sign of his presence, a trace of his glory (cf. Gen 1:26-27; Ps 8:6). This is what Saint Irene’s of Lyons wanted to emphasize in his celebrated definition: ‘Man, living man, is the glory of God’. Man has been given a sublime dignity, based on the intimate bond which unites him to his Creator: in man there shines forth a reflection of God himself” (The Gospel of Life, n. 34).
SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS FROM MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA - 1 - 1 -12 SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS FROM BLESSED ANGELA FOLIGNO - 12 - 25 - 11
Mary is the Mother of God, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, Mother of the Church. She is the Mother of the whole world because when the angel gave her the news, the Good news, that she would become the Mother of Christ, it was at that time, by accepting to become the handmaid of the Lord, that she accepted the call to be our Mother . . . Mother Mary is the hope of mankind. She has given us Jesus . . . (Source: “Love: A Fruit Always in Season”

PRO-LIFE THOUGHTS FROM FATHER STANKO - 1 - 1 - 12
The beginning of a new year brings ua a special joy and hope. It is a reminder that time is a gift of God. It is a gift of new life of another year. As we honor Mary, the Holy Mother of God, we must realize the sacredness of human life in all of its stages. Let us remember Mary who conceived in her womb the author of life.
He did submit himself unto the elements, unto cold and heat, hunger and thirst, and other insensible creatures, concealing His power and despoiling Himself thereof in the likeness of man in order that He might teach us weak and wretched mortals with what patience we
ought to bear tribulation. (From “The Wisdom of the Saints by Adels)
PRO-LIFE THOUGHTS FROM FATHER STANKO - 12 - 25 - 11
The mystery of the Incarnation, Jesus being conceived in Mary’s womb and experiencing human birth, reminds us that the evil of abortion is a sin against the very nature of God. When God’s Son was born of a virgin, the life of every womb was made sacred and holy.
This why abortion is such a heinous sin.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS FROM ST LEO THE GREAT - 12 - 18 - 11
Invisible in his own nature he became visible in ours. Beyond our grasp, he chose to
come within our grasp. Existing before time began, he began to exist at a moment in time. Incapable of suffering as God, he did not refuse to be a man, capable of suffering.
Immortal, he chose to be subject to the laws of death. (from the Wisdom of the Saints by Adels)
PRO-LIFE THOUGHTS FROM PA. PRO – LIFE FEDERATION - 12 - 18 -11
The cultural environment for a human holocaust is present whenever any society can be misled into defining individuals as less than human and therefore devoid of value and respect. (Ronald Reagan from his book Abortion and the Conscience of the Nation)
