“Whatsoever you do for the least of my brethren, you do unto Me.”

We have an active prayer chain at Saint John Vianney. For special intentions or urgent prayer requests, please call the parish office at (814) 322-4789, and ask for prayers.

The members of our prayer chain will then relay your request and pray for your intention. You may provide a name for your intention if you wish, but names are not required. Also, please know we welcome new members of our prayer chain at any time.

As Catholics, we believe there is great power in personal prayer. You may also enter your personal intentions in our parish intention book that is placed before the altar at each weekend Mass.

Our parish has many different ministries, for example we have an active bereavement team that helps family members faced with a death. We have a parish R.C.I.A. program for those who wish to convert to Catholicism. Please check our bulletin for current schedule of R.I.C.A. meetings as well as other parish activities.

We try to support the needy in our community by parish contributions to the local Food Pantry. Periodically we prepare and serve a weekend meal at the St. Vincent DePaul Kitchen on Bedford Street in Johnstown.

There are many ways we can serve one another, from being an usher at Mass to helping with our Sub and Gob Sales, to simply praying for the parish. We urge all parishioners to be as active as possible in their prayer life and in our parish life.
